Born 1956 in Derbyshire UK, I grew up with a great desire to sing. I achieved this ambition at an early age and for most of my adult life have worked as a professional vocalist. Specialising in jazz, I worked throughout the UK with some wonderful musicians including collaborations with saxophonist Andy Sheppard and guitarist Adrian Utley. In 1992 I moved to St. Davids in Pembrokeshire where I began to write music. Along with my jazz roots I have embraced classical and choral influences, and have developed a keen interest in both early and contemporary classical music. I am currently writing for voices, piano, chamber and quartet. I have appeared a number of times on Welsh television, most memorably for me at the time of the Sea Empress oil disaster, when I was asked to perform one of my compositions by S4C. I now live in Fishguard, where I work from my studio with the aim of composing music which creates beauty and value in the world. Music which is enjoyable to perform and to hear.
